Too Short for Red Tomatoes T-Shirt bird feeder orange cherriesFor gardeners who walk right past the perfect red ones at the market. Purple, green striped, gold, nearly black a whole spectrum sliced open on the cutting board. The lumpy ones, the ribbed ones, the ones that never met a produce standard they cared about. Flavor was never round, and it certainly was never uniform. Nine heirloom slices on a tomato shirt, each one showing off a different color. The red slicers at the store can keep their good looks.
