Purphoros, God of the Forge My favorite aspect of Purphoros, God of the Forge is the ticking clock element it adds to the game for your opponents

In a format like Commander where you only have one copy of each card in your deck, an ability like this is priceless as it means you can keep recasting the best spells and instants in your deck turn after turn

One of my favorite lines of play is to drop a sufficient number of creatures onto the battlefield that cards like Blood Artist or Rage Thrower give opponents a no-win choice

It That Heralds the End A two mana lord that also reduces cost

Basically, youll always be able to play your commander assuming you have the mana available, so having a great one will make a tremendous difference in every game you play
