Direct Attack Overview As the name implies, direct attack uses monsters which have the ability to attack the opponent directly (regardless of whether or not they have monsters) as its nucleus
That being said, a deck that plays a lot of double strike creatures is going to want to play a fair number of pump spells anyways
This is due to rule 400.7f which states that if an effect grants a nonland card an ability allowing to cast that card, that ability continues to apply to the new object that card becomes in the stack as it is being cast that way
