Poorly disguised hangovers from prog
Period photography by Linder Sterling
It wasn’t always like that
and a sense of humor
spends much of II playing the ghost in the machine
WORK, THE - Compilation LP dream pop Poorly disguised hangovers from progHand numbered gatefold sleeve. Limited to 400 copies. Highly recommended. Quite a polarizing and edgy sounding outfit, being Henry Cow founder Tim Hodgkinsons early 80s post punk combo. Sounding every bit like their studio mates This Heat having a battle royale with Captain Beefhearts Magic Band. The Work features Tim Hodgkinson (Henry Cow, God), Bill Gilonis (Hat Shoes, Officer!), Mick Hobbs (Strobe Talbot, Officer!) and Rick Wilson (Family Fodder).
