new mtg commander decks Magic The Gathering star roster of heavy hitters jumps from the comics to the battlefield MAGIC: THE GATHERING Unveils 9

You only have to pay energy after they block, and unless they have tokens to feed you, theres some inherent risk in blocking

These and other ones are still likely to make the push into Commander

Spell Pierce hits cards of any mana value and Flusterstorm is the best way to win a big stack battle thanks to storm, but Minor Misstep has some upsides too: it's a hard counter, so unlike Spell Pierce you don't have to worry about your opponent paying for it in the late game and resolving their spell and it can hit creatures along with spells, which is huge in a world where Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer is in one-third of decks

With this emerald Daisy Duck, you get to draw a card anytime a Pirate character quests while at a location thanks to her Distant Shores ability

Those arent too hard to come by either, so expect Zell to excel in your GR decks and be fine otherwise
