pokemon sharpedo card ACE 9 - M EX - XY200a - Black Star Promo - [Water][Colorless][Colorless] Pokemon Sharpedo 37/132 Rare Secret

While mana intensive, the ability to repeatedly refute an opponent's turn by bouncing their guy combined with the ability to use Disappear as a way to "protect" your creatures in combat (cast Disappear on it and then attack freely, knowing you can save it from lethal damage) made for a very potent enchantment that acted more as a sorcery than an enchantment

People also note that the quality control seems to be better for Japanese cards, so there are fewer mess-ups falling through the cracks, too

Bishop of the Bloodstained: Love the Velazquez-like art

You can tap any untapped creature you control to convoke a spell, even one you haven't controlled continuously since the beginning of your most recent turn

This demand, in turn, drives up the price of the card
