Its powerful, but imprecise

Brotherhood Scribe's stat-boosting effect triggers off of any effect that gives you an energy counter, so multiple separate triggers will boost your creatures each time

Gandalf the White will double such cards' triggered abilities based on entering or leaving the battlefield, which can generate tremendous advantage in the right decks

If you count up all of the reprints valued at $3 or more, you'll see that Commander 2018 averages four a deck, while Commander 2017 had 6.4 and Commander 2016 had more than eight, which means the number of valuable reprints has been cut in half in two years (while MSRP increased from $35 to $40 at the same time)

And, with white giving access to recursion likeSun Titan orSevinnes Reclamation for cards with a low mana cost, you could bounce it back from the graveyard
