what is a pendulum card in yugioh Yu-Gi-Oh! - Machine - SBSC-EN023 - Common - 1st Edition - Speed Duel Pendulum Call - Yu-Gi-Oh! Card

Compared to when this card first released, there are now many methods and options for destroying troublesome cards

In the anime, they couldn't be destroyed except by other Numbers, and they were some of the most powerful Xyz monsters of all

If you call it wrong, destroy as many monsters you control as possible, and if you do, take damage equal to half the total ATK those destroyed monsters had while face-up on the field

This guy puts a stop to that, and at the cost of 100 life points per turn, monsters with an attack greater than 1500 attack cannot declare an attack
