They really couldve been something

In Golgari Demon shells, it allows you to cast high-mana spells like Vicious Rivalry or Assassins Trophy while keeping your mana open for protection

(2025-06-06) If the Hero token is destroyed, the Equipment stays on the battlefield

Meanwhile, Song-Mad Treachery is a card I really like for a reason similar to Pelakka Predation: people don't expect non-sacrifice decks to have Threaten effects, which means that Song-Mad Treachery can lead to some massive blowouts by stealing an unsuspecting opponent's best creature and smashing them with it

While piloting the Golgari Yawgmoth deck, Ive regularly ruined an opponents board simply by killing off their creatures/shrinking them enough to make attacking unprofitable, and Ive even proliferated an opponents Chalice of the Void from one to two to lock them out of casting a bunch of spells
