mtg modern horizons 3 commander precons Magic: The Gathering Deck card Collector Booster Sample Pack containing 2 alt Creative Energy - Modern Horizons

You don't need life points until you are about to die, unless you feel the urge to pay them to do something silly like draw extra cards

Three mana to get a basic, Sphere, or Locus into hand might seem a little expensive, but its a step along the way to creating a very scary creature

Skithiryx can regenerate even if it isn't in combat, it's already tapped, or it's undamaged

The reanimated target heads to the graveyard and the land is exiled, played, and you only really discarded one card and are now up a card

All of these actions triggering without requiring combat is extremely effective, and when paired with other ways to boost the power and toughness of creatures, all while backup Commander Director Nick Fury is reducing the cost of Heroes by 1C, you can see why this deck is being hyped up as powerful right out of the box
