2015 Te Mata "Estate" Gamay Hawkes Bay It‰۪s a big wine50% carbonic maceration. Young, bouncy cherry fruit with a touch of rubbery reduction giving a certain snap to the nose. Loads of floral character too. Much better than the Fleurie I threw away about an hour ago! Soft palate, modern and smooth, a well sculpted, authentic rendition of the variety. (RH)
