“Torrette” is the regional designation referring to wines made from certain villages in the Valle d’Aosta principally from the Petit Rouge grape (70% minimum)
for me this is showing even better than during en primeur
so we bypassed the sorting line and went through a traditional foot treading before being loaded into the press
There is more limestone influence in the soil here
with a solid core of mulberry and boysenberry coulis notes backed by light apple wood and anise hints
Cline - North Coast Sauvignon Blanc NV (750ml) Torrette “Torrette” is the regional designationThis wine is zesty, crisp and bright with green apple, pear, white grapefruit and white nectarine. The midpalate brings lime zest, green papaya, florals, jalapeno, a burst of blood orange juice and racy acidity to finish. This will be a brunch favorite.
