Jim Barry Shiraz The McRae Wood 1998 Pinot Noir Spicy on the palate

Spicy on the palate

thick skins and high seed content combine to produce a wine of exceptional depth and complexity that simply cannot be replicated from younger vines or richer soils

this is a joyful drop now but should age beautifully for well over a decade

Jim Barry Shiraz The McRae Wood 1998 Pinot Noir Spicy on the palateCritic tasting note: (1998 vintage) "This is dense, very concentrated wine with flavours that last into next week. Very taut, dense, sinewy and vibrant on the palate with fine grained tannin and excellent to outstanding length. I'd sit on it five years to see what evolves. It could hold for two decades. (Anthony Gismondi and Stuart Tobe)." 93 100, Gismondi on Wine
